This is a tradition I think we will continue to do. We went to the christmas tree lighting the night after Thanksgiving with my family. It's kind of like a christmas fairy tale backstage. You walk down main street where all the stores and resturants are decorated with christmas lights. People are singing carols and Santa comes to town, on a fire truck. Then you squeeze through all the people to get up to sit on Santa's lap and take a picture. He gives you a candy cane and off you go. This is the third year we've done this and the kids love it.
Year 2005

Prince, Aunt J, Princess in front of the BIG tree.
We skipped 2006. I am not exactly sure why we didn't go. It was the year we had Monkey. I can't remember if the Prince and Princess went with my parents and we stayed home with Monkey or we just didn't go at all. I'll have to ask my mom about that, she has better memory than I do.
Year 2007

Taking pictures in the dark is not easy.
year 2008
With Santa Claus, my mom had to sneak herself into this one.

That sounds like a great tradition. :) And I hear you about the memory. Mine sucks. ;)
